Among the monitored important chemical products, a total of 37 products rose, accounting for 59.7%, and the products with the highest increase were adipic acid (7.3%) and butyl acrylate (7.1%); a total of 13 products fell, accounting for 21.0% , and the products with the highest declines were (4.3%) and acetonitrile (3.3%).
Adipic acid: The market rally is obvious. The price of raw materials rose during the week, coupled with the delay in restarting the Haili plant, which boosted the overall mentality. After the holiday, the adipic acid manufacturers raised the listing price twice, pushing up the market price. It is unlikely that adipic acid will continue to rise sharply in the market outlook.
Butyl Acrylate: The market is rising broadly. Many production facilities were parked, and the typhoon affected the delivery efficiency of factories in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, and the overall supply in the field was tight. Boosted by the profit, the butyl ester factory has widened in recent days, and the trade market has followed suit, and they are reluctant to sell at low prices. It is expected that the butyl acrylate market may run strongly.
PVC: The market rose and then fell. At the beginning of the week, the domestic atmosphere has improved, driving PVC prices to rise. On Wednesday, the U.S. inflation data exceeded expectations, the Fed’s aggressive interest rate hike expectations increased, the macro atmosphere weakened, and spot prices fluctuated and fell. It is expected that the price of PVC in the market outlook will continue to fluctuate in a range.
Acetonitrile: The market has fallen from a high level. In the early stage, multiple sets of acrylonitrile units were overhauled in a centralized manner, and the price of the by-product acetonitrile rose rapidly. However, the demand of downstream pesticides and other industries for acetonitrile is relatively general, and a wait-and-see attitude is adopted for high-priced acetonitrile, and the quotation of acetonitrile gradually returns to rationality. It is expected that the acetonitrile market will continue to decline in the future.
Isobutyraldehyde: The domestic market price of isobutyraldehyde continued to decline weakly. The Tianjin chemical plant resumed normal operation, and the supply of isobutyraldehyde was further increased. However, the downstream demand was limited, and the main factory’s shipment pressure was highlighted, and some companies’ offers were lowered. With the falling price of isobutyraldehyde, the market has a strong wait-and-see atmosphere.
Titanium dioxide: The domestic market price of titanium dioxide continued to decline. The traditional market performance was weak during the peak season of demand, and the demand did not increase significantly. The coatings industry was trapped in the downturn in the real estate market, and the price of raw material titanium concentrate decreased slightly. The price of sulfuric acid continued to be low.
