Description:Styrene (C8H8), an important liquid chemical raw material, is a monocyclic aromatic hydrocarbon with an olefin side chain and a conjugated system with a benzene ring. It is the simplest and most important member of unsaturated aromatic hydrocarbons. Styrene is widely used as a raw material for the production of synthetic resins and synthetic rubber.
Styrene is a colorless liquid at room temperature, insoluble in water, but soluble in organic solvents such as gasoline, ethanol and ether, and is toxic and has a special odor. Because styrene has unsaturated double bonds and forms a Chemicalbook conjugated system with the benzene ring, it has strong chemical reactivity and is easy to self-polymerize and polymerize. Generally, styrene is free-radically polymerized by heating or catalyst. Styrene is flammable and can form explosive mixtures with air.

Characteristics:Strong volatility

Application:

1. Mainly used as raw material for polystyrene, synthetic rubber, engineering plastics, ion exchange resin, etc.

2. The most important use is as a monomer for synthetic rubber and plastics to produce styrene-butadiene rubber, polystyrene, and foamed polystyrene; it is also used to copolymerize with other monomers to manufacture engineering plastics for various purposes.

3. For organic synthesis and resin synthesis

4. It is used to formulate copper plating brightener, which plays the role of leveling and brightening

Package:170kg net weight,or requirement as Customer.

Transportation and storage:

1. Due to its active chemical properties, styrene is generally stored in a cool and ventilated warehouse

2. Keep away from fire and heat sources, and the storage temperature should not exceed 25℃

3. In order to prevent the self-polymerization of styrene, TBC polymerization inhibitor is usually added during storage and transportation.
